S & M August Blog Hop

"The Raven"

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"Tis some visitor, "I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-
               Only this and nothing more."

                                                               -Edgar Allan Poe

For my card today I used a standard card back.. Covered it with a page from a dictionary ( "R" for raven) I inked the edges with fluid chalk Lipstick Red, Charcoal Black and Sienna.. I took a slide mount frame from my stash to accent the Raven.. Used a Red/Black flower with a Black flower on top followed by a beige button to tie the colors together.. I stamped the word LOVE from the CTMH Soul Mates (D1254)
